WE BELIEVE IN CHANGE
Poverty is an everyday reality. Many Cambodian children face hunger, preventable diseases, child labor and abuse. Education empowers children to break out of this cycle of poverty. Asian Hope believes that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and that education is the only way to equip students to avoid the perils of human trafficking.
Cambodia ranks 153rd out of 173 countries worldwide in the amount of their budget spent on education.
Education is prevention, and we believe it is the only path to preventing sex trafficking, poverty, exploitation and child labor.
The truth is that for every dollar spent on rescuing a child from the perils of sex trafficking or exploitation, hundreds of more children could be saved from these tragedies through prevention. The best prevention is education.
Matthew 25:40, “Truly, I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
What can you do?
You may be asking yourself, “What can one person actually do to change a whole country?”
By educating just one child in Cambodia, you have elevated that child and their family to a unique position within Cambodian society, equipping them to reach and transform this nation for Christ.
